photo by Paul Kim at the Attic, Dekalb, IL this last fall Karl just returned from a fabulous tour with Dave Matthies--Gift Machine--and Blau's partner Calli Stark and their daughter Ciel. Met wonderful folks singing in art gallery/artist co-ops(Resonance Center, Envy13, See Spot) and strumming in living rooms. While Blau and Matthies played 4 weeks with dozens of other acts, Karl was recording for the next Kelp))! issue "Turning Tutu, Turning Leaves" which depicts a hazey dream of this fall tour. Among those on December's Kelp))! is Della Drive, The Gift Machine, Nate Ashley, Kate Magnus, Dennis Driscoll, Landing, Mt. Eerie, Y.A.C.H.T. {{VVRSSNN}}, Icarus Syndrome, Old Time Relijun, trains, crickets and so much more. |
